1952 ford f1 pickup truck open hood tim mcclellan

A rare and unique gem.  A one-of-a-kind build.  A pickup like no other.

Each year Tim McClellan builds 1 to 3 custom builds.  In his words this 1952 F1 truck is a “contender for my favorite.  This is not a Street Rod, it is not a Hot Rod and it is not a Rat Rod. This is a Ranch Rod.”

In the cab you will enjoy the extraordinary ride and experience the perfect balance of rustic charm and sophisticated refinement.  Hardwood floors complement the 6-way adjustable Lexus leather seats.  Peering in through the smoked glass reveals a handsome leather wrapped roller-chain steering wheel and patina steel dash with beautiful leather appointments.  The charm of this custom designed steering wheel lies in its seamless blend of a traditional hand-stitched 3-spoke British racing wheel with a splash of steampunk style and just the right amount of rat rod flavor.  Integrated into the 65 year old dash is a new set of custom gauges, air conditioning, air ride controls and a DVD player with a backup camera.

Form and function fuse together into a perfect union in this historic ride to deliver a remarkable driving experience.  Every inch of it’s all steel body has been painstakingly gone over, removing old body filler, layers of primer and restoring the original red paint and rust patina.  Under the tilt hood you will discover a beautiful fuel injected 5.0 Mustang motor that effortlessly powers this Ranch Rod over rough dirt roads or smooth pavement.  The exceptional ride and responsive handling are achieved thru a combination of a fully adjustable air ride suspension along dual anti-sway bars, an independent front suspension, a 4-link rear suspension, and late model 18-inch Mustang wheels with performance tires.
